Our Instructors and Staff Members
Our instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Tae Kwon Do and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.
Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of Premier Black Belt Academy of Southampton's instructors and other staff members.
Sal Zangari (5th dan/Senior Master Instructor)
The senior master instructor is Sal Zangari ; a 5th dan or 5th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do/Tae Kwon Do which is a traditional Korean discipline teaching the way, or Do, of life. Master Sal Zangari also instructs Krav Maga, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Phillipino Kali or stick fighting. Master Zangari has had schools in Philadelphia, Delaware and Bucks County for the last 18 years. He is a senior master instructor of the Pilsung Martial Arts Association. Master Zangari leads the technical and foundation of our academy and who's purpose is to empower the lives of those he surrounds himself with.
Michael Celona (4th dan/Chief Instructor)
Master Michael Celona is a chief instructor of our academics and oversees the direction and development of our fighting systems, tournament cycles, traditional heritage and is the lead instructor under Master Sal Zangari.
Kenny Cummings (3rd dan/lead #1 instructor)
Kenny Cummings has earned numerous academic awards. Mr Cummings has been training for 13 years and enjoys playing sports. In addition to playing sports, Mr. Cummings is a huge Philadelphia sports fan and is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and has achieved Eagle Scout status.
Steven Rosenthal (3rd dan/lead #2 instructor)
Steven Rosenthal currently attends Penn State University. His favorite hobbies in addition to martial arts are snow boarding and skate boarding. Steven also holds numerous awards in sparring, board breaking and forms competition.
Anthony Fratto (3rd dan/lead #3 instructor)
Anthony Fratto is an assistant master at our academy. He has dedicated most of his life to the Korean discipline of Tang Soo Do and martial arts. He is an accomplished national karate sport competitor and overseas the growth of the students that he leads.
