Is kickboxing a good workout for women?
Heck yeah it is! Kickboxing torches calories (up to 800 calories an hour if you’re workin’ hard), sculpts lean, beautiful muscles, and is one of the best full-body workouts to get you in shape FAST. Man or woman, you’ll walk out feeling stronger than ever. Plus, you’ll improve your hand-eye coordination, posture, sweat out tons of toxins every class, and afford yourself some serious endorphins.

What is cardio kickboxing?
It’s kickboxing without the opponent! Simply put, Cardio Kickboxing is kickboxing combined with the pace of a cardio workout. You will learn proper form of each punch and kick: jabs, hooks, crosses, uppercuts, front & side kicks, and round-house kicks. You’ll mash those moves into combinations that engage your upper and lower body, and especially your core. It’s a great workout for anyone who is bored with the monotony of the treadmill, wants to kickstart their fitness goals, and become the most agile and able-bodied version of themself.

What kind of exercise is kickboxing?
The best kind! Kickboxing is a full-body workout that acts as both cardio for fat burning, and cross-training for muscle toning. Incorporating both punches and kicks against a heavy bag, kickboxing works every muscle group in the body, at a pace that tests your stamina and revs up your metabolism.

Can Kickboxing help with my weight loss?
Absolutely! Kickboxing itself is a great way to burn fat, especially when it’s combined with the high-intensity intervals we use as a class format. HIIT gives you the afterburn effect, where you burn as many calories in the hours after your workout as you do during it. So when you’re home an hour later, chin-deep in your couch and starting your second Handmaid’s Tale episode, your body’s gonna be just workin’ away...burning calories and taking names 🤩
But remember-- you can’t out-train a bad diet. For weight loss, our classes are most successful when combined with a top-notch diet plan (we can hook you up here-- ask a trainer about the ILKB meal plan and cookbook) suited for your weight-loss goals.
