I love this place! I have been going here for around 9-10 months. I started off going once a week and now have an unlimited subscription. It is a fantastic work out and cost affective. I sweat more with this work out than any other I have tried. The trainers are friendly and fun, the place is like a family as people get to know you. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to get fit, build muscle and have fun!

I would recommend this to anyone. It’s difficult but they allow you to go at your own pace. Be prepared to do some burpees. The people who work there are really nice. Amalee is especially great! You’re the best :).

I chose the score because the environment is very motivating. The instructors are very lively, knowledgeable, and provide guidance in proper form and technique which I think is the most important part of a workout. I always walk out feeling great, accomplished, and in a better mood about myself. Thank you ILKB San Mateo awesome staff and instructors!

Just finished my 17th class today & plan for more! I wished I knew about ILoveKickBoxing in San Mateo almost two years ago when I first move to the bay. Coaches are nice & supportive. The workout are good & balanced. The first class can be a little overwhelming but the environment & coaches are supportive that you pick up on the workout/moves.

This place is really great for a beginner with no kickboxing experience.  You will get a great cardio workout at ILKB to help achieve your fitness goals.  The workout combinations/circuit exercises are pre-determined by corporate and the instructors follow the routine.  No 2 days are ever the same because combination routines are changed daily.  However, if you decide to take same day, back to back classes, the routine is the same and the only change may be the instructor. They use freestanding kickbags in the studio, not the heavy bags. ILKB is designed for people who have little or no kickboxing experience.  Keep in mind this is NOT a boxing gym, but more of a boutique kickboxing studio. Do not expect to learn technique, fighting/self-defense skills. If you’ve never experienced a kickboxing class this will make you sweat and it will be worth every drop.  I would recommend these kickboxing classes, 2 to 3 times a week for at least 7 months to get you started to on your achieving your fitness goals.  I reached my goals and I am currently on maintenance mode.

Jab, cross, jab, cross, left roundhouse kick, right roundhouse kick! These classes are endless combos where you can't predict the workout list for the next class based on the class you took. Will you get bored? NOPE! Each class keeps you on your toes and you will be guaranteed a sweat and possibly by sore after depending on how often you worked out before attending a class. I've only had class with two of the instructors so far but these ladies know their stuff. They may look skinny but damn, if you hear how they punch/kick the bag, you know they're the pros. They're always motivating and willing to help you out/show you ways to improve. I started out purchasing their trial classes which included complimentary kickboxing gloves. You have an option between black or pink gloves your orientation class is 45 mins vs the typical hour where they focus of teaching you the essentials and explain the different packages they offer if you want to continue with your annual pass.
